Thirdly, our courses can offer invaluable personal and professional development, such as enhancing your current professional qualifications and job-related skills.

  8. Absolutely! Most of our training courses can be coordinated onsite for many organizations. 21. What is a Master's Certificate of Professional Development?
  22. The Corporate University offers Master’s Certificates of Professional Development. These highly coveted certificates provide a comprehensive form of study in one of three concentrations:

    • Strategic Human Resources Management (SHRM) [View]
    • Supervisory and Management Development (SMD) [View]
    • Management of Organizational Development (MOD) [View]

Each Master Certificate Program (MCP) offers the individual or working professional the opportunity to expand their overall professional development, skills and knowledge by attending professionally developed courses and seminars. Each concentration has a set curriculum of courses that must be completed successfully before a Master’s Certificate is conferred.

An enrollment application and a one-time enrollment fee of $25.00 (per program enrollment) is all that is required to be admitted to the program. The enrollment fee covers some administrative costs, as well as a Master Certificate Program Binder which is utilized to maintain a student’s course materials and notes while working toward a Master’s Certificate. Once your application and enrollment fee has been processed, you will receive a confirmation package in the mail which will include a cover letter, course catalog, course enrollment forms, you Master Certificate Program Binder, and additional information and materials concerning the program concentration you initially enrolled in.

  23. Can prior courses I've taken under the Corporate University be applied toward one of your Master's Certificate of Professional Development?
  24. Yes, depending on the type of course(s) taken. If you have attended a course that falls under any one of the Master's Certificate course curricula, then yes, your course may be applied toward the curriculum requirements. However, courses taken must currently be offered by the Corporate University. Courses taken outside the Corporate University are non-transferrable and will not receive credit toward any of our Master's Certificate programs. The Corporate University reserves the discretion to modify its course content and curriculum requirements at any time.

  25. Do I have to register separately to begin working toward a Master's Certificate?
  26. No. However, the Corporate University requires that all individuals wishing to work toward a Master's Certificate of Professional Development complete a brief Master's Certificate Program Enrollment Form so that the HRC is informed of your intentions, commitment and area of concentration you wish to study.

  27. Can I enroll in more than one Master's Certificate Program?
  28. Yes. Enrollment in a Master's Certificate Program is required. Please note that a separate enrollment fee will be assessed per Program enrollment.

  29. What is a CEU?
  30. The Continuing Education Unit or CEU is a uniform measure of non-credit continuing education learning experience. What we mean by "non-credit" is that any CEU credit(s) earned under the Corporate University is not applicable toward any college, university, or four-year educational institution degree or course of study, accredited or non-accredited. One (1) CEU is awarded for every one (1) hour of participation. For example, if you attend a four hour training course under the Corporate University, you would be eligible for four hours of CEU credit. To receive full CEU credit for a course, an individual would have to participate in the entire length of the course. Leaving early and/or arriving late during a course may effect the number of CEU credits you may be eligible for earn.

The Corporate University currently offers CEU credits for individuals with a 1) California Residential Care Facility Administrator's License under a Group Home (GH), Adult Residential Facility (ARF) or Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) designation; or 2) current PHR, SPHR, or GPHR Certification under the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).
