Terms, Conditions, and General Information

The following outlines specific terms, conditions, and general information for all individuals or organizations which enroll and participate in Corporate University courses or schedule on-site training for their organization. The Corporate University reserves the discretion to modify these terms and conditions at any time, with or without notice or reason.

  1. Who can register in Corporate University Courses?
  2. Registration is open to the general public and organizations. Details about our courses, such as course descriptions, instructors, course dates and times, and enrollment fees can be reviewed on our website or through our course catelog.

  3. How do I pay for Corporate University courses?
  4. You can enroll and pay for Corporate University courses 1) online by selecting your desired course(s) and adding them to our shopping cart; 2) by calling the Corporate University at (559) 227-6115 with a credit or debit card; 3) in person at our main office with a check, money order, or in cash; or 4) you can send in payment with a registration form. For your convenience, we accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa. Company invoicing is also available with a term of payment due on or before the course date.

  5. Rates and Material Fees
  6. As a non-profit organization, Corporate University works to keep its training opportunities reasonably priced for the general public. Course enrollment rates reflected on our website or within our course catalog are representative of individual participants enrolling and participating in our in-class workshops or seminars only. On-site corporate training rates are based on a contracted, hourly rate and are not to be confused with rates associated with in-class workshops or seminars.

    Corporate University may assess a material fee to reasonably cover costs associated with, but not limited to, supplemental materials or workbooks. Material fees are separate and in addition to any enrollment fees.

    Tuition and material fees are subject to change with or without notice.

  7. Non Credit Hours
  8. All hours associated with Corporate University courses are considered non-credit hours and are non-transferrable to any educational institution for academic credit toward a formal degree or other academic programs.

  9. Cancellations, Refunds and Credits
  10. Workshop/Seminar-type courses cancelled seven (7) or more business days prior to the course date will receive a refund. If you cancel within seven (7) business days of the course date, a 50% refund will be granted. Please note that if you do not attend and/or do not cancel as descried above, you are responsible for the entire payment and no refund will be issued. If the Corporate University cancels the course, you will receive a full refund.

    Online courses purchased, but not started are eligible for a full refund. The Corporate University, at its discretion, retains the right to verify if an online course had already been started prior to a refund being issued or authorized. An online course that has been started (no matter how far along the learner may be in the course) shall not be eligible for a refund.

  11. Re-Enrollment and Credit
  12. Individuals or businesses may re-enroll in any Corporate University course at any time, subject to availability. If a course is eligible for CEU hours/credit, it is recommended that the learner contact the provider (which issued their license or credential), to determine if they will receive appropriate credit for the taking of a similiar course. The Corporate University does not accept any form of responsibility should the learner be deined CEU hours/credit by their license or certification provider.

  13. Enrollment History, Certificates, Online Access
  14. Individuals who have enrolled in and taken Corporate University courses may access their enrollment history and conveniently print replacement training certificates online using the Corporate University's website. A username and secure password is required to access this content.

  15. Course Certificates
  16. Upon the successful completion of a workshop/seminar-type course, the participant will receive a Certificate of Completion. If a course is eligible for CEU hours/credit, the participant will receive a Certificate of Continuing Education. Certificates of Continuing Education will include all pertinent information pertaining to the course taken, including (if applicable), CEU hours, vendor numbers and course ID numbers.

    Individuals may also access and print their course certificates (for completed courses only) on our website by logging in with their username and password.

  17. HR Certification Institute Disclaimer
  18. For courses eligible for CEU credit under the HR Certification Institute (HRCI), the following disclaimer associated with the Corporate University's use of their seal, shall apply:

    "The use of this seal is not an endorsement by the HR Certification Institute of the quality of the program. It means that this program has met the HR Certification Insititute's criteria to be pre-approved for recertification credit."

  19. Honesty and Integrity
  20. All individuals participating in the educational process of the Corporate University are expected to pursue the utmost in honesty and integrity in all aspects of their professional development participation. This includes, but not limited to, conducting oneself in a professional and ethical manner involving course participation, interaction with other course participants, and engaging in course activities. Conduct or behavior considered inappropriate, including unlawful harassment, discrimination, or retaliation against other partipants will not be tolerated.

  21. Course Withdrawals and Substitutes
  22. Course registrants must notify the Corporate University of their intention to withdrawal from a course. Failure to notify the Corporate University may affect any possibility of the registrant receiving a course refund. However, the registrant may substitute another individual in their place. Substitutions should be communicated at least 24 hours in advance of the course date. This can be done by contacting the Corporate University at (559) 227-6115.

  23. Grading and Evaluation Criteria
  24. All courses offered under the Corporate University are considered continuing education and professional development in nature with no letter grade issued. For the purpose of online courses, a complete or incomplete grade may be issued to record an individual's eligibility to receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course.

  25. Reasonable Accommodation
  26. Corporate University makes every effort to provide training sites offering reasonable accommodation, including wheelchair accessibility for course participants requiring such assistance. Please contact the Corporate University at (559) 227-6115 should you require accommodation.

  27. Corporate (On-site) Training
  28. The Corporate University can work with organizations to develop and deliver customized learning solutions that integrate you business goals and employee development needs. Part of corporate training is to accentuate a workforce’s core knowledge and learning processes all the while reinforcing company vision and ideology.

    The Corporate University can make available all corporate training to be conducted on site for ease and convenience. Training can be scheduled as a short session or extend to a weekend or week-long session. The Corporate University will work with the organization in coordinating the needed training and make available all materials for those in attendance.

    All training is conducted professionally by an experienced faculty member with ample opportunity for questions and answers, including interactive activities and stimulating presentations.

  29. Master's Certificate Program
  30. The Corporate University offers Master’s Certificates of Professional Development. These highly coveted certificates provide a comprehensive form of study in one of three concentrations:

    • Strategic Human Resources Management (SHRM)
    • Supervisory and Management Development (SMD)
    • Management of Organizational Development (MOD) - Specialization

    Each Master Certificate Program (MCP) offers the individual or working professional the opportunity to expand their overall professional development, skills and knowledge by attending professionally developed courses and seminars. Each concentration has a set curriculum of courses that must be completed successfully before a Master’s Certificate is conferred.

    An enrollment application and a one-time enrollment fee of $35.00 (per program enrollment) is all that is required to be admitted to the program. The enrollment fee covers some administrative costs, as well as a Master Certificate Program Binder which is utilized to maintain a student’s course materials and notes while working toward a Master’s Certificate. Once your application and enrollment fee has been processed, you will receive a confirmation package in the mail which will include a cover letter, course catalog, course enrollment forms, you Master Certificate Program Binder, and additional information and materials concerning the program concentration you initially enrolled in.

  31. Course Catalog
  32. The Corporate University maintains a course catalog that is updated each calendar year or on an as needed basis. The course catalog includes detailed information of our courses, including our online education offerings. It is recommended that an individual use the course catalog to plan out their training and/or progress toward earning a Master’s Certificate of Professional Development. In addition, the course catalog outlines a copy of these terms and conditions pertaining to an individual’s enrollment or participation in any Corporate University course.
